This site lost the view preview pics functionality some time ago,
the preview pic files are still here but no longer linked to the mods files downloads. This feature is likely to remain broken due to old site software.

(Appears that the Folder browse permissions have changed

Note, The Devguy_daug_beau mod (2005) is not actually available
on this site, apparently just the preview pics only.

ModMaker allows you to create mods easily and quickly from premade clothing and bodyparts. It's a bit like putting new outfits on paper dolls.


According to Kbob to create a new pack

The basic steps are:

Save the original DDS as a PNG or GIF or JPG to create a background file
Select a piece of clothing, or body part
Cut out the selected piece
Save the cut piece as a new PNG or GIF file, with transparency enabled
Repeat until you've accumulated all the clothing and body parts you want
Modify the pieces if you want

The hard part is selecting the pieces of clothing or body parts. Surprisingly however, you don't really have to be extremely accurate, especially as much of the DDS file is not used by SMP.

Thanks for checking your personal content, wasn't expecting you to
have the mod as very few apparently ever had it.

It was probably only available on a hosting site for a brief time.
devguy joined here back in Apr 08 2005 (and only ever made 3 forum posts)
so it would be around April 15 2005 or slightly later.

I believe it failed to get download approved here back in the day
when submitted because of the adult content - sheer tops.
So it apparently never made it into the mods - Governors Daughters
section.

Short of the unlikely event of someone actually finding it in their Pirates! content or a kind modder re-creating it from the preview pics. The mod should be considered lost.

been a while since I last used modmaker
thought i would give it a quick test spin with Windows 10.


Windows 10 Home 64-bit

extracted modmaker zip file to it's own Folder with full access

placed msvcr71.dll in the same folder


added some of loki59 additional modmaker packs content

barmaid stuff
bartender stuff.zip

(beautiful daughters content is included with modmaker)


Modmaker launched okay

run as administrator NOT set as using its own folder
(if using a program files location, will need run as administrator set)

Windows XP compatibility also NOT set

didn't notice any usual issues as this was a brief does it work test
which it appeared too.


Probably would have helped if I had looked at the Tutorial first.
But fumbled my way through it, without looking at it first.

Update

Added
EDIT: 404 Not Found Error
as some links no longer work

Apparently changes to Server hosting file/folder permissions
now give errors. Explicit links with complete pathnames still work
if you know the pathname.
The ability to browse the folder is now gone.
