ArcheAge is an MMORPG developed by Korean developer Jake Song (former developer of Lineage) and his development company, XL Games. The game was released in Korea on January 15, 2013, Europe and North America on September 16, 2014. ArcheAge is described as a "sandpark" MMORPG, which the developers say is a hybrid of the open content style of a "sandbox" game and the more structured play experience of a "themepark" game.

Archeage Unchained is a new and seperate version of the MMORPG Archeage which initially released in 2013, This version of the game follows a buy to play business model and a non pay to win shop, If you've never played Archeage before the game uses a combo based tab targeting combat system, is entirely open world, has a unique class system where you pick 3 skillsets to determine your overall class, the game has real space player housing, a mixture of both PVP and PVE content as well as the ability to earn coin as a pirate in the games massive ocean, At it's core the general concensus was that Archeage is a good MMORPG ruined by pay to win microtransactions, now this issue is finally addressed will Archeage Unchained be an MMORPG worth playing?
