I remember watching the ST animated series on Saturday mornings. It features most of the original actors voicing their characters. But they took advantage of the animation to include a couple of more alien-looking characters that would have been impossible to portray in live action. |

REF: ST animated series
I recall the number of voices James Doohan "Scotty" did on the show.
Was it Walter koenig "chekov" that was completely missing ?
as the budget didn't stretch that far.
His "Bester" role in Baylon 5 was really good. |

According to wikipedia, Walter Koenig was not one of the voice actors, but Filmation purchased a script that he wrote Episode entitled "The Infinite Vulcan"). |

The actor Jeffry Hunter played Christopher Pike in the original
Star Trek TOS Pilot episode, later recut as a Two-part episode in
Star Trek TOS.
Leornard Nimoy played Spook completely differently
against Hunter than with Shatner's more Space cowboy Kirk.

The Story:
When a seemingly unstoppable new enemy threatens the very existence of the Earth, Admiral Pavel Chekov (Walter Koenig) is forced to work outside the boundaries of Starfleet’s rules to combat this deadly new foe.
When planet after planet winks out of existence, yet Starfleet refuses to act, Chekov turns to Commander Tuvok (Tim Russ, who also directs), the new head of Starfleet’s covert operations division, Section 31. An alien race on Moya starship finds an ancient space station, which can use the power of the sun to create a portal to the past.
They want to use it and transmit all technological advantsments to their race in the past so they will became a dominant species in their galaxy.
But this portal emits large quantity of radiation which is picking up by sensors on multiple starships, on both sides of the portal.
Some bad guys want to use this technology in their advantage. Some good guys understand the danger of temporal incursions and want to destroy the station.
