Who am I?
I was born August 14, 1945 and am an American actor, comedian, writer, producer and musician. I came to public notice in the 1960s as a writer for The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, and later as a frequent guest on The Tonight Show. In the 1970s, I performed my offbeat, absurdist comedy routines before packed houses on national tours. Since the 1980s, having branched away from comedy, I have become a successful actor, as well as an author, playwright, pianist, and banjo player, eventually earning me an Emmy, Grammy, and American Comedy awards, among other honors. |

Not easy for some - I had to cheat to find out who - so I cannot answer... |

No, also a close answer.
Here's some hints. Steve Martin and the other 'Wild and Crazy Guy' played the characters on a television show that was broadcast live from New York on Saturday nights.
The recurring sketch follows Yortuk and Georg Festrunk, two brothers who had emigrated from Czechoslovakia to the United States. Culturally inept, they went to various social hangouts (bars, art exhibits, dance clubs) in an attempt to connect with attractive American women ("foxes"), however, their obnoxious behavior was almost always a turn off for the women they approached. They were often referred to by their catchphrase "We are, two wild and crazy guys!!" |

Roland's right, as I recall.
