Blender 2.8x/2.9x - Installing NifTools Blender Nif Plug-in
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPikYa-zLqk
Pte Jack
16 Aug 2020
This add-on is used to import the NIF Formatted type Model files extracted assets from various sources like Skyrim, Fallout 3, Morrowind, Star Trek Bridge Command and WarHammer (Games who's developers have allow us to Mod.)
As of 15 Aug, 2020, this version of NifTools does not work with Skyrim SE type assets. If you attempt to import these assets, NifTools will fail. There are other avenues to retrieve these assets, however it involves using other software (which is beyond the scope of this video) to create OBJ files that will then have to be imported, "rigged" with an armature and weight painted in Blender. |

Blender Nif Quick Guide (easy!!!)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvuSCFbmRrc
darren scott
I made this after spending well over 5 hours trying to get Blender to import / export nif files for use with oblivion and finding it came down to two easy steps... It was hard enough to find out which version of python worked with blender (no easy to find info on the site). If you don't trust my links feel free to google the files yourself just make sure you use the exact same versions!!!

Blender Export Basics

Freedom Force game
two common problems with exporting NIFs in Blender
exporting an object being a weighted object and retaining the size and position
the non-uniform error. This happens when weighting a model. The reason in short is there's extra information in there.
with solutions
