Just wondering...does there now exist, or might there be plans to make in the future, an online version of "Pirates"? I'd get a kick out of sailing the seas, doing battle with other pirates...though I imagine the seas would be very crowded. *lol* _________________ "Think, if you like, of the distance we have come, but never let your mind run forward faster than your vessel."

Nice idea, but think you will find that this game has been abandoned by the developers.
P.S. being nice here!! |

Rupert is correct as usual.
However I hear that an online game called Pirates of the Burning Sea will one day be coming to an internet ready PC near you.
Like most games these days. Will it come out? The developers say it will.
It's beginning to look a bit like vaporware however. If it does come out and its as good as they say it is then it should really be something good. _________________

Well, as long as it had a 1'st Rate SoL waiting for me, I'd be happy _________________ "If I didn't hate life, what would I spend all my time raving about?" - Silvertail |

Oh yeah, a multiplayer game of pirates, only if they can create the whole 7 seas. (so it don't get to crowded). But like other games the host can set a limit to how many players to a session. Question : has any one tryed to sail ferther than the map? |

I've often thought about how awesome an online Pirates would be. But yeah, they would need alot of servers, or the sease would be VERY crowded.
I don't know why they abandoned pirates... _________________ Why are these forums always so deserted???? |

Well, not quite. They just released / are going to release a PSP port of the game, so they are still interested in it.
But I must admit that I was expecting something more when the rumours about "big news" started floating... _________________ It is much better to be armed with a sword that has two edges than with an estoc [...], which is nothing more than a stick with a point.
