Me and the Spanish arent exactly on speaking terms right now (something silly about me kicking them out of south america) so none of it due to the likelihood of me getting shot on sight |

The best thing to do is to pull to the shore when you see any of the named landmarks (Governors Reef etc) and see if you can find a stone head, geyser, or other map landmark. Since there's no coastline, you probably have a bit of a walk ahead of you, but if you're in the right area, usually there's one or two landmarks visible from where you get off the ship. _________________ Yarrrrghhh! I had that map before. I literally spent three years ashore. I eventually found it quite close to Vera Cruz, and it was directly north. _________________ "A short life and a merry one, that's my motto!" "Black Bart" Roberts |

What HarveyCrimmins says is true.
I got your Saved Game - Sailed straight there and found your Treasure Straight away - FYI - the Spanish allowed me to pull in - and buy more food.

I find that looking in heavily wooded areas is a waste of time. If you have no coastline formations or settlements to orient from on the map, focus most of your efforts where there are large breaks in the tree cover. Lots of times, just the Lower right piece of the map, dumb luck perhaps and this working theory can land you plenty of booty. |
